Fake Currency
Pakistan's Inter-Service Intelligence directorate is allegedly a key player in this menace, thwarting attempts by Indian security agencies to crack down on the racket.
Former Central Bureau of Investigation director Joginder Singh tells
how the security agencies could tackle the fake currency phenomenon.
Do you think India is doing enough to curb the threat of counterfeit currency?
It is not enough at all. More should be done to eradicate the danger.
What should be done in your opinion?
First, the approach has to change. The government, banks and the Reserve Bank of India are all in denial mode when dealing with the issue. That attitude has to change.
The problem is immense and threatens the economy. Instead of remaining in denial, the agencies should wake up, accept the problem and act.
What should the RBI do?
They need to first accept the problem. Only then will they be able to solve it. The RBI obviously gets to know when an entire series of currency notes has been faked. I fail to understand why they continue with the series despite it being faked.
The RBI should immediately withdraw the series once such things happen. That solves the problem to a great extent.
What should banks do?
What we have been noticing is that once a customer reports fake currency, the bank immediately destroys the note and there ends the matter. First, the banks ought to file a police complaint.
Let me tell you about a case where a man drew his salary from an ATM. It was only later that he realised all the notes were counterfeit. Banks should introduce testing machines at ATMs so that the customer can immediately report the problem.
What can the police do?
They should stop torturing the person who reports the crime. All police units of the respective states ought to follow the Bengaluru module where there are separate units for law and order and crime. The crime wing of the police should handle this matter.
I feel that special training ought to be imparted to officers and two constables should be put on duty only to tackle this problem.
What about the government?
I fail to understand why we can't manufacture ink and paper to make currency. It is still being imported and this gives criminals an edge.
If we manufacture our own ink and paper, then we will be in control of the situation and can enhance our security features.
Besides, it is time the government accepted that we face a serious problem.
Could you provide a set of guidelines to tackle the issue?
The law must be changed to protect those who complain about the problem. Agencies should get out of denial mode.
The Intelligence Bureau says the ISI imports paper from London to fake currency notes. Can't we seek help from the United Kingdom?
It is difficult. Why would they help us? For them, it is a business. We have to find our own means to tackle our issues.
Fake currency is directly connected to terrorism.
It is connected to terrorism. To wipe out terrorism, we first need to stop pleading with the United States of America. India should realise that they will not bother about us.
Giving the army blanket powers to deal with the problem is the only way to solve this problem.
Can Interpol's help be sought?
Again, there is no point in asking Interpol. Interpol is basically a group of police officers.
If we seek Pakistan's help, then we will be dealing with their Interpol chief who is also the chief of the FIA (Federal Intelligence Agency). Do you expect anything from him?

Consciousness Theory
Conscious
Sub-conscious and
Super-conscious.
They are however the broader divisions
there are still innumerable levels of it in each one.
The effect of the activities of the lower consciousness settles down upon the sub-conscious mind, forming fate.
The first thing to be undertaken is therefore the correction of the lower consciousness by right thinking and practice,
so that it may itself be converted into force to bring the sub conscious mind into a state of splendour
This brings us to the state of super-consciousness

A real friend has shoulders soggy from your tears.
A simple friend doesn't know your parents' first names.
A real friend has their phone numbers in his address book.
A simple friend brings a bottle of wine to your party.
A real friend comes early to help you cook and clean
A simple friend thinks the friendship is over when you have an argument.
A real friend knows that it's not a friendship until after u've had a fight.
A simple friend expects you to always be there for them.
A real friend expects to always be there for you!
A simple friend will read and throw this letter away.
A real friend will keep sending it until he's sure it's been Received
In front of the person you love your heart beats faster But in front of the person you like you get happy.
In front of the person you love winter seems like spring But in front of the person you like winter is just beautiful winter. If you look into the eyes of the one you love you blush But if you look into the eyes of the one you like you smile.
In front of the person you love you can't say everything on your mind But in front of the person you like you can.
In front of the person you love you tend to get shy But in front of the person you like you can show your own self. You can't look straight into the eyes of the one you love But you can always smile into the eyes of the one you like.

Design of group work/ line production in production
where does group work fit in seven production system models
these are mainly schematically divided production systems
1. Machine faced line
2. Man paced line
3. Automated process
4. Concentrated operation
5. Diversified line group
6. Service group
7. Construction group
Machine faced line
It is predominately based on material handling important factor. The best example is final assembly line of car assembly on a fixed- speed assembly line
The advantages are short throught put times, the efficient utilization space, machines and auxiliary equipment, efficient operation that is achieved through the extreme division of work and specialization
Disadvantages are extreme sensitive to disturbances, only as strong as their weakest link, more difficult to make changes
Man paced line
If we remove the mechanized control and flow speed from the production line is called as man-paced production line. The control is less rigorous and existence of buffer stocks makes it possible to adapt individual work pace in a completely different way. A group made up of individual work roles, operatives can help each other, take care of work disturbances, event out peaks and valleys of work flows and strive for common work results

Efficient Consumer Response (ECR)
WHAT IS ECR?
ECR is about, "Working together to fulfill consumer wishes better, faster and at less cost"
Embedded in this simple statement are two fundamental principles that guide all ECR efforts,
Focus on Consumers: A commitment to the belief that sustained business success stems only from providing consumers with products and services that consistently meet or surpass their demands and expectations;
Working together: Recognition that the greatest consumer value can be offered only when organisations work together, work internally and with their trading partners, to overcome barriers that erode efficiency and effectiveness.
The Methodology: ECR encourages companies to pursue continuous improvements under three focus areas: supply side, demand side and enabling technologies. Also a special note on Category Management and Electronic Catalogue has been briefly covered.
ECR India: ECR movement in the FMCG sector was launched in India in October 1999. GS1 India facilitated the formation of a core group by bringing together retailers/manufacturers and other potential supply chain trading partners. It provides standards which facilitate ECR applications like CPFR, VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) systems, Automated Replenishment etc. GS1 India also functions as the Secretariat for ECR India.
Framework to cut operating costs and improve productivity
How quickly things are changed. Just around this time last year, everyone in the country – the government, media, industry, capital markets was bullish about the continuing growth prospectus for Indian economy
As 8 – 9.5 percent growth rate in the coming 2-3 years expected
Ambitious Indian companies making acquisitions abroad
Now the near term outlook dosen’t look too brighter either
Here set of concepts, both financial and operational, which sheds some light on the problem
Cash to Cash cycle
Cash flows are greater importance in corporate health, particularly in current scenario.
Cash to Cash cycle is becomes a crucial supply chain performance metric.
What is cash-to-cash cycle?
It is the length of time for which inventory must be financed (the time between when you spend your money to when you get money for your products
C2C calculated based on three drivers of working capital
Days in inventory (DI) – time taken to turn raw material into sales of finished product
Receivables outstanding (RO) – number of days from product sale to receipt of cash form the customer
Payables outstanding (PO) – time taken to provide cash payments for purchases from suppliers
C2C=DI+RO-PO
EXAMPLE:
A company has 30 days of inventory (DI) gets paid fot its products in 45 days (RO) and pays its suppliers within 45 days (PO)
Hence
C2C is equal to 30 days
If the cycle is shorter for those who get paid at the point of sale and have manageable inventories
Its longer for those who pay their suppliers sooner than they get paid, keeping the inventory levels steady
Why should it be reduced?
Long cash cycles means bearing additional costs for keeping the supply chain running
How can you reduce it?
hair care tips
Interested in trying out sculpting mud for your hair? Use a minimal amount of product to prevent weighing hair down. A good rule of thumb is to put a little bit on your fingertips and apply to the hair from the back of the head forward.
Hair clean-up
An all-natural way to eliminate shampoo build-up and toxins in your hair is with apple cider vinegar. Rinse your hair once a week with one cup of apple-cider vinegar, found in grocery stores or health stores.
Hair styling fact
Hair sets best as it is cooling, not when it is heated up from blow-drying. Whether using hot rollers or a blow dryer, apply hair spray after hair has cooled to maximize the style.
Salon style hair
Separate your damp hair into several sections and blow-dry one at a time using a round or paddle brush. Taking the time to focus on each section will give you that overall salon look.
Instant Hair Tricks To Slim Your Face
Most hair stylists will tell you that a good starting point to a face slimming hair style is to give your hair a svelte look. How do you do that? Here are some hair tips that can work for minimizing fuller face shapes:
Don'ts
Just as clothes with horizontal strips add the elusion of weight, hairstyles with blunt edges can make your face look much wider than it really is. Avoid styles or cuts that have any type of strong lines that will make your face look larger than it really is.
Avoid hair that is either too long or too short.
Avoid big hair, lots of curls, wedge styles or super short cuts.
The Square and Pear shapes are also not suited for super short cuts that will highlight the jaw or the chin.
Do's
Add slenderizing vertical lines to your hair through well placed highlights or lowlights. A talented colorist can also add wonderful depth to your overall face with multi dimensional color.
Adding height at the roots automatically minimizes the fullness of any face by adding instant length. Ask your stylist to add texturizing or layers around your crown area to add height.
If your hair is naturally thin or fine use a great volume enhancing shampoo to add fullness. Add a root lift solution or volumizing gel to the roots and use a brush to lift as your blow dry.
Remember to direct the airflow from the ends to the roots for even more volume. If you prefer you can use a small barrel curling iron right at the roots for added texture
Up dos add instant height. Consider pulling your hair into a high ponytail or braid anchored at your crown. Pull out a few tendrils on either side of your face to add a subtle slenderizing.
A shoulder skimming shag style with texturized bangs is excellent for reducing facial width. Blow dry hair forward with a large round brush to smooth and curl hair under. Set with a good hair spray. The best length for faces that need slenderizing is between the jawline and the shoulders. This length elongates your face and neck creating a much slimmer appearance. Bangs can be flattering if worn to enhance the eyes. Select bangs that have an uneven edge. Try angled bangs or bangs that have wispy lengths.
Round faces benefit from long straight lines added around the face. A chin-length bob with minimum layering is a great option. Angled bobs with sides that taper softly below the cheeks is also a wonderful selection. This look can create the illusion of higher, more angular cheekbones. By introducing a horizontal line, side-parted bangs that sweep across the forehead also help break up a face's roundness.
A key to slenderizing round faces is to minimize the volume of hair that is at the sides and ear area. If a hairstyle is selected that falls above the jaw it is best to wear an off-center part to interrupt roundness. A longer jaw length or longer style can benefit from a center part.
The Square & Pear shapes do well with chin length bobs. A bob with fullness at the chin will balance a pointed chin prevalent with heart shapes.
A square face benefits from a chin length bob that ends in a soft flip or gentle wave.
Adding emphasis to the cheekbones and the middle section of the face helps a lot. Bangs are a great solution. Wearing your hair at least 2 inches below your jaw line will also help a lot
Beauty Tips
Money saver
Use Sponge cleansing cloths (cut into two pieces) or facial wipes for cleaning your face and save money
Exfoliate, exfoliate
For a fast, at-home body exfoliation, mix olive oil with sea salt or sugar. Smooth over skin in circular motions all over the body, avoiding the breast area. Rinse off in the shower and apply your favourite moisturizer
Body brush
Dry brushing your skin before a shower is a great way to stimulate the natural oil glands in your body. Using a natural bristle body brush, start at your feet and lightly “brush” your skin in a circular motion. Follow by a warm shower and slather your body with your favourite moisturizer
Hand moisturizer
For regular, well-moisturized hands, keep hand cream on your desk at work or in the car. Apply the cream throughout the day to rejuvenate your cuticles and keep skin saturated
Natural cleansers
Dip into your fridge for facial cleansers when your regular cleanser runs out. In apinch buttermilk, yogurt and even cream are gentle, natural skin cleansers
Moisturizer alternative
Instead of using a cream moisturizer after you bath or shower, rub almond oil into your skin for a treat. Combined with a few drops of your favourite essential oil (peppermint, lavender or neroli) it will leave your skin smooth and supple
