Production Planning and control

Process planning : the detailed planning of processes of manufacture necessary to convert raw material into finished goods before commencing the operation
product development: the stage, usually b/n design and large scale production during which units of product are tested and studied with a view to improve the performance, ease of manufacture and market appeal

production control: the planning, direction and control of the supply of materials and processing activities of an enterprise

production planning: the planning of physical means of production. It is concerned with process planning, with the design of tooling, with the layout of plant, equipment and with the handling of materials and tools. Work study is a major technique in production planning and control
